Many were relieved to hear our new president, Barack Obama, mention the importance of reforming health care during his inagaural speech. The fear that health care reform was simply a promise made while on the campaign seems to be dispelling as actions are being taken to change the way health care functions in this country. Obama’s economic recovery plan not only seems to include health care reform, but to some extent be based upon it. This indicates a firm understanding of the vital role that health care plays on the structure of our economy. By improving this system, we may see more drastic economic improvements than we even imagine.
