Medicare Costs to Rise Beyond Expectations
Experts are warning seniors to look carefully at their Medicare plans before enrollment closes at the end of the month. Recent studies among experts are predicting that costs are going to rise more than federal representatives once reported. In fact in some cases, they may as much as double. Hit especially hard are low income seniors who are at a high risk of losing low cost coverage. Seven of the eight programs available for low income seniors will no longer be an option in 2009. In addition to rising premiums, deductibles will be increased as well, serving as a double-whammy on fixed income seniors. How do you think these changes will affect the use of Medicare and how will Obama’s reforms affect these types of programs?
