More Options For Florida University Students

The University of South Florida Health Services recently changed their policy to allow students with individual insurance policies to receive treatment without having to pay out of pocket. Previously, the policy was to only offer covered services to students with a University-sponsored health insurance plan. This presented a great deal of difficulty for students with good, individual plan, who had to pay up front and then be reimbursed by their insurance company. Now, for these students, visiting the Student Health Services Center will be very much similar to going to a normal primary care physician, and overall, cheaper. While there has been support for this policy in prior times, the barriers of working with private insurance companies were too great until recently. Read more about it here. Do you think that this new policy will be more profitable and beneficial to the University and its students?
