New Clinic Opens in Deltona
The Deltona area welcomes the opening of a new clinic for low income citizens on publicly funded health care such as Medicaid as well as individual insurance. The new facility marks the transition from primary care services provided by the Volusia County Health Department to Northeast Florida Health Services Inc. The decision to changeover from made by the West Volusia Hospital Authority citing cost as the reason behind the switch. The clinic will provide adults and children with immunizations, physicals, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS testing and treatment. There are several other clinics such as this in the area to serve citizens who cannot afford traditional methods of health care. How do you think these types of clinics will be affected if McCain is elected? What about if Obama is elected?
